This book provides a report on the hours that educators in South Africa actually spend on their various activities, a comparison with national policy and an assessment of the impact of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), continuous assessment (CASS) and any other factors that might contribute to educator workload.
The results of the research into educator workload are based on a survey in 900 schools selected on a representative basis from different types of schools across all provinces.
